What is Fat Freezing?
Fat freezing (or Medical Cryolipolysis) is a procedure that crystallises fat cells, which then self-destruct due to the cold temperature. The crystallised fat is removed naturally and permanently by your body in the weeks following the session – giving way to an enhanced you! This innovative technique is both safe and effective, whilst being non-invasive without need for anaesthesia, performed by the gold standard technology in the sector – CRISTAL®.

Medical Cryolipolysis with CRISTAL®
Cryolipolysis, also known as fat freezing, is a gentle method for the treatment of local fat deposits. The non-invasive procedure aims at subcutaneous fat and crystallizes cold sensitive adipocytes at the desired area. During the treatment, the fat tissue is placed underneath a suitable applicator which performs controlled and even cooling. The procedure takes about 70 minutes and there is no down-time afterwards.
Body areas that can be treated with cryolipolysis include: upper and lower stomach, hips, inner and outer thighs, chest, the back, upper arms, calves, knees, buttocks and chin.

What happens during a CRISTAL® session?
First, your practitioner will apply a cryoprotective gel pad to the treatment area. Next, the applicator will be placed over the top of the gel pad; the suction and cooling process will then begin. After the treatment, your practitioner will massage the treated area for ten minutes, in order to accelerate the lymphatic drainage process and the elimination of fat cells.

How long does a CRISTAL® session last?
A session with the CRISTAL® takes 60 minutes per area. You can choose to enjoy your session by reading or listening to music.

Can I carry on with my normal activities after a session?
There is no downtime required after treatment with the CRISTAL®, as it is non-invasive. You can continue with your normal activities immediately after the session.

When will I see results?
There are no immediate results, as the fat cells are gradually eliminated by the immune system. You will begin to see results at about 6-10 weeks after the treatment and you will continue to lose fat in the treated area during the following months.

Is CRISTAL® safe? Are there side effects?
The CRISTAL® therapy is non-invasive, painless, and perfectly safe. This technique selects fat cells and does not affect any other surrounding tissue. It is possible to experience light side effects such as redness, bruising, swelling and a feeling of numbness in the treated area. These effects naturally disappear within a few hours or in a few days. There is no downtime required and you can continue with your normal activities at the end of the treatment.

How many sessions are needed?
The results vary from client to client, but it is generally recommended to conduct one to three sessions to get the results you desire.

Are the results permanent?
Yes, the results are permanent, as the fat is permanently removed from your body. However it is important that you take good care of your new body with a balanced diet and a regular physical activity.
